Pears are great for the Lung, which is why you’ll easily find a variety of them during the autumn season. Daikon is Chinese super food Daikon is an excellent food to support the Lung (especially when Raw) and Kidney energy. In addition, it helps support the digestive system (Cooked) and boosts overall immunity. Daikon has anti-cancer properties and is a very powerful tool for helping release the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.

Ingredients:

~ One large (Chinese Grocery) or two medium pieces (often how it is sold at Whole Foods, etc) of Daikon Radish: cut into large chunks

~ Two Pears: any type: cut into large chunks 

~ Mushroom Seasoning 

~ Nutritional Yeast

~ Chinese Cooking Wine (purchase through the link)

~ Enough water to cover your pear and radish

Directions:

In a large stock pot, add the daikon and pear and fill with water just enough to cover them. 

Sprinkle in a few dashes of mushroom seasoning and nutritional yeast. 

Cover and bring to a low boil. 

Simmer for 20 minutes. 

Add a small splash of Chinese Cooking wine and simmer for 10 more minutes. 

Blend with a hand blender or VitaMix until creamy, smooth.
